Becca Hovell – President 


Becca Hovell, SHRM-CP has been in the Human Resources field for over 7 years. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources and Organizational Leadership through Rasmussen College in 2015. Becca obtained her SHRM-CP in December of 2017. Becca has also helped facilitate some of the sessions for the Fox Valley SHRM study group. She served as the VP of Professional Development from 2020-2022

Becca currently works for RC Mowers in Suamico as a Human Resources Manager. In her role, she supports recruiting, benefits administration, employee relations, safety, maintaining personnel files, and many more HR tasks. She is a HR of one so the range of tasks are endless at this point. :)

Becca is dedicated to continuing to learn and grow within the HR profession. She also enjoys helping others achieve their HR goals

Cassie Krause - President Elect


Cassie has worked in the HR field, in a variety of industries for over 18 years.  She received her Bachelor of Business Administrator with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and currently holds her SHRM-CP and PHR certifications.

Cassie is currently the Director of HR & Safety at Carew Concrete & Supply Co., Inc leading, developing, administering, and communicating organization programs and initiatives. she spends a portion of her time at Carew writing and implementing policies and procedures, promoting the Safety Culture and leading Wellness initiatives.  Cassie has implemented a multi-faceted safety program that incorporates technological advancements such as driver computer tablets and front and rear facing onboard cameras to further promote Carew’s safety culture.  

Michelle Leiting  - Past President 

Michelle Leiting, SHRM-SCP, PHR has worked in the Human Resources field for over 9 years. She graduated with a Bachelors in Human Resources Management with a minor in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Her PHR was obtained in December 2015 and SHRM-SCP obtained in 2018. Michelle is currently employed with Kimberly Clark as an Talent Management Consultant. Michelle is very passionate about HR, developing the next generation of HR professionals and community involvement. She has proudly served on the FVSHRM Board as the VP of College Relations from 2017 – 2021.

Kortney Jenks –Secretary 


Kortney has been in the Human Resources field for 7 years in a variety of industries and Human Resource functions.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay.  Kortney received her SHRM-CP certification in December 2016.

Kortney currently works at the City of Oshkosh in Oshkosh, WI as their HR Generalist. In her role she supports recruiting, wellness, training and strategic planning.  Kortney strives to continue her learning and growth in the HR Profession. She is excited to bring her experience and previous secretarial experience to the FVSHRM Board.

Garrick Wisner– Treasurer


Garrick has worked in the human resources field for over 13 years in a variety of industries.  He received his Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Garrick is currently the Director of Compensation and Benefits at Agropur inc. In this role, he is responsible for the strategy, design, and support of market-competitive, efficient and effective total rewards programs for employees in the US.  In his free time, Garrick enjoys time with his wife and three daughters. He is a member of the Grand Chute Lions Club and enjoys volunteering in the community. 

Jason Shanda - VP of Marketing and Public Relations


Jason Shanda is an account executive at M3 Insurance. Specializing in employee benefits, he supports the agency’s efforts to gain new business and to build long lasting client relationships. He works with clients to design and implement employee benefit programs, manage risk and maintain appropriate levels of coverage.  He joined M3 in 2019 after spending the previous 15 years of service with Humana.  He has a BS in Economics from Lawrence University, BAs in Education and Social Science from UW-Platteville and a MBA from St. Norbert College.  He is involved with Junior Achievement in Brown County, the Town of Ledgeview, and has a passion for coaching. 

Samuel McIntyre  -VP of Membership


Sam McIntyre is an accomplished Employee Benefits Advisor known for his consultative approach and impressive record in the field. With a focus on building trusted relationships, Sam's goal is to match each organization with the employee benefits programs that are perfectly suited to their unique needs. He takes immense pride in helping clients become preferred employers by setting strategic objectives and executing employee benefits programs that not only stay on target, but also provide a return on investment. 

Sam graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and has amassed over 8 years of experience in the insurance industry with the last four years spent in the group benefits space.


Margaret Baltus -VP of Professional Development 


Margaret Baltus, SHRM-CP has worked in the HR field for over 8 years.  She graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and Organizational Leadership from Rasmussen University in 2016.  Margaret obtained her SHRM -CP in February of 2020.  She is currently employed by the Foth Companies as an Organizational Development Specialist.  In her role, she is responsible for member/employee engagement activities, corporate meetings and events, internal communications, and organizational change management

Elaine Ruh – VP of Electronic Communications


Elaine has been in the Human Resources field for 14 years in a variety of industries and functions. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at the College of Business at UW Oshkosh in May 2008. She also earned her Master’s in Business Administration from Concordia University in 2016. She earned her PHR in 2013 and SHRM-CP in 2015. 

Currently, Elaine works at Fox Valley Metal Tech as the Director of Human Resources. 

Sara Waitrovich -  VP of College Relations


Sara Waitrovich, SHRM-CP has worked in the Human Resources field for over 20 years. She graduated with a Bachelors in Communication & French from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and is currently pursuing her MBA from UW-Oshkosh. Her PHR was obtained in December 2003 and SHRM-CP in 2015. Sara has been employed at Plexus Corp. for 19 years. Her current role is Human Resources Business Partner supporting  the Global IT and Legal/Compliance teams. Prior to this role, Sara was the HR Manager at Plexus Appleton Operations. Sara has a passion for mentoring and developing people, particularly for the next generation and those beginning their careers. 

 James Macy– VP of Legislation


Jim is an attorney with the law firm of von Briesen & Roper, s.c. and a resident shareholder in its Neenah office.  He represents employers in all aspects of employment law including labor negotiations, discrimination defense, disability and ADA issues, wrongful discharge or employment contract disputes, non-competition issues and other difficult personnel transactions. He drafts employment agreements and negotiates employment severances. He represents employers of all sizes, including those with union and non-union workforces.  He speaks regularly at statewide and national conferences on employment law related issues.


Lori Rausch - VP of Workforce Readiness


Lori has been in Human Resources for over 20 years in various roles in the manufacturing industry.  She has worked in both union and non-union environments with a concentration on employee relations and training and development.  She holds an Associates of Arts in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Human Resource Management from American InterContinental University; graduating with honors.  She also earned her PHR in early 1998 and is currently studying to earn her SHRM-SCP.  For the past two years Lori has volunteered on the WISHRM Conference Committee helping to enhance the HR experience for the many who attend each year. 

Currently Lori is the Human Resources Manager for Great Northern Laminations with responsibilities at the corporate office in Appleton as well as the four remote locations in CA, OR, PA and FL.  In her role, she develops Human Resource policies and programs in organizational planning, employee development, employment, on-boarding, training, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and employee services that adhere with the company’s vision, mission and core values.

Lori’s passion within HR has been the training and development of the employees and helping them become future leaders of an organization.  She is looking forward to taking this same passion out into the community to help others in need become productive and contributing employees.   When not working, Lori enjoys spending time with her family, traveling (especially in the winter months!), camping during the summer and reading. 

Emily Koerner - VP of Programming


Emily Koerner, SHRM-CP, has been in the Human Resources field for 3 years between her current full-time role and past internships while in college. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management with minors in Data Analytics and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. As a college student, she was part of the Executive Board of the UW Oshkosh SHRM chapter and held the role of President for two years. Emily obtained her SHRM-CP certification in May 2021 prior to graduation.

Emily is currently employed at Plexus Corp as a Human Resources Generalist. In her role, supports onboarding, retention, performance management, and development of Team Members.

Lindsey Dix - Director of Social Media

Lindsey has over 20 years experience between recruiting and Human Resources in various industries including; manufacturing, IT services and outside consulting.  After spending a number of years with an HR Consulting firm, Lindsey followed her dream, went out on her own, and started her own company – Roots HR Consulting. Focusing on the day-to-day functions of HR, Roots partners with small businesses to help them with their HR needs. She also continues to do executive search.  

Lindsey received her PHR certification back in 2014 and shortly after, received her SHRM-CP certification.  She is an active member of Fox Valley SHRM and has also served on the Fox Valley SHRM Board of Directors as the VP of Professional Development and currently as the Director of Social Media.   Lindsey is active in the community, attends many local events and is a member of Mid-Day Women’s Alliance, where she also volunteers her time to the Board.
