Proudly Serving the Fox Cities of Wisconsin
It is again time for FVSHRM's annual Labor and Employment Law update with the attorneys from von Briesen & Roper. Like other years, this past year has brought many changes in legislation and court decisions in employment law. Even more aggressive this past year is the active role that state and federal employment agencies are taking in employment law enforcement. Join us for this popular program and stay up to date on the latest developments in employment law!
The von Briesen team will address:
· US Supreme Court decisions and pending cases that impact employment at your organization. · The latest developments from the EEOC, OSHA, NLRB and the Department of Labor. Are they really there to help you? Draft and final agency rules from Artificial Intelligence to Independent Contractors to FLSA exemptions may surprise you. · Mental Health and Accommodations – It is no longer the silent disability. · Drug Testing and Background Checks – How do you balance your liability against your recruitment/retention efforts? · Refugee Issues and an Aging population – Are these targets for recruitment? If so, what pitfalls exist and how do you avoid them? · Your issue – The von Briesen panel will leave time to discuss your issues and debate best solutions to the problems presented.
